Digipak Inside- First Draft
This is the Inside of my Digipak, The reason for choosing the image I have is because of my Indie genre of music I'm using for my music video. The imagery of freedom and calmness without a doubt goes with my theme. The CD will be the same image as behind it meaning that none of the image will be blocked. I will also have an insert placed behind the horse side

Digipak- Background information
When looking at the design of digipaks its clear to see that they almost represent a book like cover, this is because the material used is a gatefold paper board or card stock outer binding with usually one plastic tray which is capable of holding a CD.
Digipaks are an alternative to jewel cases which are used by high end record companies. Unlike CD's Digipaks have still got their original name (digipak) where as the name CD has been abbreviated from the term Compact Disk.
The packaging is often used for special records such as, Singles and special editions. The casing is classed as premium which means that we are able to charge for more compared to a regular plastic CD case. Even though Digipaks tend to be more expensive they wear easily over the years (i.e their spine can crack, and they can lose colour due to the fact that they're made of cardboard.).
Digipaks were first created by MeadWestvaco, and their product named, Digi-Pak, is trademarked. However over the years digipaks have been becoming more mainstream so therefore other companies have been producing these popular products.
